There have been a number of burglaries in this area, with at least 3 in Crosspool in the last 3 weeks.
Unfortunately Den Bank Close had a burglary in their close during daylight hours after lunch on 19th Dec. They got in through the back UPVC door, which was supposed to have a lock in it that is hard to break - that has been changed now. The usual things - laptops, jewellery were taken, but also a passport and driving licence and the keys for one of the cars. They did not put the burglar alarm on as they have a cat, and now (too late) they have had that altered so the cat can walk around without setting it off. No-one noticed anything except one neighbour who was driving out the close and saw a white van entering.
There were also 2 burglaries and 1 attempted round Stephen Hill area - all between 1 and 3pm about 3 weeks ago. Most people were out at work.
Doubtful, or something just not right call 101 and report it there and then. A crime in progress call 999 immediately. Together we can stop too many of these incidents happening in Lodge Moor, Crosspool, Fulwood or Ranmoor.
